For Grandmother’s Canary Milk, boil the milk with vanilla pulp. Whisk confectioners’ sugar with egg yolks until white foamy and gradually beat into the slightly cooled milk.

While stirring constantly, beat over low heat until thick. The canari milk should become quite hot, but no longer boil.

Preparation Tip:

Grandmother's canary milk tastes especially good with Schneenockerln, Buchteln or even sweet bread casserole.
