Prepare the yeast dough for the nut buns. Knead flour, sugar, dry yeast, milk, butter and egg into a dough that is still a little sticky.

Shape into a ball and let rise, covered, in a warm place for about 30 minutes so that it doubles in volume. In the meantime, mix the ground nuts with the sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle flour on a work surface and knead the dough well on it until it no longer sticks.

Roll out into a rectangle about 1/2 inch thick and brush with the melted butter. Spread the nut mixture over it and carefully roll up from the long side.

Cut off slices 1 to 1.5 cm thick and place on a baking tray lined with baking paper and bake the nut buns in a preheated oven at 180° for about 20 minutes.

Preparation Tip:

You can still top the nut buns with a vanilla sugar glaze when they are done baking.
